How we move a pool table, step by step
- Plan: we ask for the table size, the slate type and photos of the room, the stairs and the doorways at both ends.
- Take it apart: the crew removes the rails and pockets, protects the cloth and lifts the slate off the frame.
- Move: we wrap each slate piece, carry it with care and secure it in the truck.
- Rebuild: in the new room we put the frame back together and set the slate.
- Level: we level the table for play, put the cloth back on when it can be reused, and reattach the rails and pockets.
One-piece or three-piece slate?
Three-piece slate comes apart into three sections for the move. One-piece slate is a single slab that can weigh over 800 pounds, so it needs more movers and careful planning on stairs. We have moved one-piece slate tables from one basement to another (see the reviews below).
What about the cloth (felt)?
We work to save your existing cloth and reuse it, but we cannot guarantee it will come through the move. We do not install new cloth. If your table needs new felt, book a billiard technician for after the move.
How much does it cost to move a pool table in Denver?
The price depends on the table size, the slate type and the access at both ends. Most tables are 7, 8 or 9 feet, and larger tables need more work and more movers. The slate type decides how many movers and what equipment we bring. Stairs, tight turns and basement rooms add time. Tell us about the room and any stairs, and we will give you a clear quote.
