Denver Apartment Movers: Walk-Ups, High-Rises & Everything Between

What our apartment moving includes

• Certificate of insurance: most high-rises and managed communities require one. We are licensed and insured: send us your building’s requirements, and we will send the certificate the same day you ask.
• Elevator reservations: tell us your freight elevator window, and we size the crew and schedule the truck so the move fits inside it.
• Loading docks and parking: we check dock height, clearance and garage access before moving day. If the street is the only option, we tell you whether you need meters bagged. The City of Denver takes those requests through its E-Permits system and asks for a week’s notice.
• Building hours: many buildings allow moves only at set times, so we plan the day to finish inside them.
• Protection: we pad elevators, protect door frames and corners, lay floor runners where your building asks, and wrap every piece of furniture.
• Disassembly and reassembly: taking beds, tables and desks apart and putting them back together is part of the move, not an add-on.

How the move works, step by step

• Quote: call, or use the form and add a video. We price what we can actually see.
• Before moving day: you book the freight elevator with your building and send us the window and the rules. We send the insurance certificate and plan around them.
• Moving day: we protect the building, wrap and take apart your furniture, and load the truck.
• At your new place: we unload and put your furniture back together.

How much does an apartment move cost in Denver?

We do not publish a flat price, because two one-bedroom apartments can be very different moves. We charge by the hour (Fair Clock Pricing), so the price follows the time. What changes the time:

• Stairs or an elevator, and how long the elevator wait runs
• How far the truck can park from your door
• How much is packed when we arrive (we offer full or partial packing services)
• Furniture that has to come apart to fit

Moving on a budget? Cheap doesn’t have to mean careless: pack what you can yourself, and you pay only for the hours we work.

Walk-ups, high-rises and lofts

Many older buildings around Capitol Hill and Cheesman Park have no elevator, so we plan the crew and equipment for the stairs. High-rises downtown and around Union Station, the Golden Triangle and Cherry Creek mean freight elevators, loading docks and long hallways. RiNo lofts and newer buildings in the Highlands and around Sloan’s Lake bring small elevators, garage-level loading and long carries. We check the route before moving day, not during it. We also move studios and one-bedrooms for students, first-time renters and downsizers across the Denver metro.

Moving at the end of the month? Book early.

Most Denver leases turn over at the end of the month. The last and first few days of each month fill up first, for elevators and for movers. If your dates are flexible, a mid-month weekday is the easiest day to book. If not, call as soon as you know your move-out date.

Moving out of state, or between leases?

If your next apartment is outside Colorado, our long-distance movers handle it. Our own crews drive the truck and unload at your new home. If your new lease starts after the old one ends, we offer short-term, climate-controlled storage, from a few days to a few weeks.

How to get ready

• Reserve the freight elevator at each building as soon as you have your dates.
• Measure your largest pieces and the doors, hallways and elevator at the new building.
• Check your lease for move-out rules: notice, cleaning and key return.
• Take photos of the empty apartment before you hand back the keys.
• Pack a first-night box with sheets, towels, chargers, medicine and a few tools.
