Piano Movers Denver

What our piano moving includes

• Every common piano: upright, spinet, player, baby grand, grand and concert grand pianos, plus digital pianos and antique or heirloom pianos.
• Protection: padded covers, locking straps, piano boards and dollies, and floor and doorway protection in your home.
• Grand pianos: we take off the legs and pedals, wrap and secure each part, and put everything back together at the new home.
• Stairs and tight spaces: we measure doorways and plan the route first, and we book elevators and follow building rules in apartments and high-rises.
• Moves inside your home: for a remodel, new floors or a new layout.
• Loading or unloading only: into or out of your own rental truck or container (U-Haul, Penske, Budget, PODS).

How we move a piano, step by step

• Plan: we look at your photos or video, measure the doorways and turns, and check the stairs at both homes.
• Protect: we cover floors and door frames, close the lid, and wrap the piano in padded covers to guard the keys, pedals and finish.
• Secure: an upright rides on a dolly. A grand comes off its legs and pedals and is strapped to a padded piano board.
• Load: the crew carries the piano to the truck, raises it on the lift gate and straps it in place for the drive.
• Set up: at the new home we unwrap it, put a grand’s legs and pedals back on, and place the piano where you want it.

How much does it cost to move a piano in Denver?

The price depends on the piano’s type and size, the stairs and turns at both homes, the distance, and the room the crew has to work. A move from one room to another is the simplest job. Stairs, a small elevator and taking a grand apart add time. A small upright weighs about 300 pounds. A concert grand weighs about 1,000 pounds or more, so the piano type sets how many movers we send. Send a photo or video with the form, or call, and we will give you a clear quote before moving day.

Climate-controlled piano storage in Denver

New home not ready, or remodeling? We can keep your piano in short-term, climate-controlled storage for a few days to a few weeks. When you are ready, we deliver it and set it up.

Local and long-distance piano moves

We move pianos across the Denver metro, and from Denver to anywhere in Colorado and to other states. Your piano can move on its own or as part of your household move. On out-of-state moves, our own crew drives the truck and unloads at the other end. Colorado’s dry air and temperature swings are hard on pianos, so we wrap and pack with the season in mind.

After the move: tuning

Piano technicians usually suggest waiting two to four weeks before a tuning. That lets the piano settle into the temperature and humidity of its new room.
