Largest Straight Truck in Town
The year was 1860 and Thomas Skerritt built his home "Orchard Place" in the area. Being the first Mayor of the town and now considered to be the founder, Mr. Skerritt personally (with his plow) created the first road connecting Englewood and Denver four years later.
1879 brought the first telephone to the town. 1883: the Cherrelyn horsecar. 1903 brought incorporation and in 1905, the Swedish National Sanitorium was founded, soon to become the massive present-day Swedish Medical Center.
